Stanley Waterman

Stanley Waterman is a native of Dublin, Ireland. He immigrated to Israel in 1972.

He has B.A., Ph.D (University of Dublin); Post-Doctoral Fellow (University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada); Assistant Professor (California State University, Northridge).

Stanley is Emeritus Professor of Geography and Dean of Social Sciences, University of Haifa and Former Director of Research, Institute for Jewish Policy Research, London.

He has had visiting appointments at the University of Toronto; London School of Economics and Political Science; Queen Mary, University of London; City University London.

His specialities are: electoral reform; ethnic groups in cities; contemporary Jewish communities; geography; music; photography.

He is married to Vivien — a music therapist and creator of childrens musical stories. They have three children: Dov (composer of film trailer music and piano technician);  Shuli (violist); Tami (cellist).
